A Major Article May Discover You

Once you& 39;ve been around the block a few times and tastes, sounds and that the success feels, you want to burn your own CD. People drawn to make a recording for various reasons. Sometimes it& 39;s to advance (or start) a career. Sometimes this is to give new life to share songs or music to a wider audience. On a personal level it could be a memorable creative experience.
Choosing, that record is not the same as select music to perform on stage. Your stage, how is as much a question of taste and style, as this picture and direction. Concerts on the entertainment and exposing his music. It is about relationships and applause, giving and taking, the creation of the audience hope you ever become a following. Concerts promote your music.
Recording different. CD-ROM musical painting. Without the benefit of live visual performance, we are talking about the issues, hearing and listening. The technology allows you to record and market your music at an affordable price especially if you decide to make your own record. This can work up to a point. The production process and the studio you choose must meet your expectations and those of your fans.
I & 39; ve had more than a few accounting experience. My first encounter was with jazz-blues-rock group called the holiday. We could not afford to record, but we were writing original material and our fans have asked us to write. In desperation, I think - better to do something than nothing - we created two ways registration system in the old church. Acoustics were unbelievable and the atmosphere was terrific. In retrospect, we are looking for and expecting a miracle. We were finished in a few hours. Delivery of the master tapes to the independent record pressing plant, a month later, we first 500 copies sold out overnight. The sound was terrible, but somehow we managed to capture the spirit and aims of the group. There was not one complaint. Nevertheless, for obvious reasons, we do not make any more copies.
It & 39; sa usually conviction that all you need is a computer with sound card and microphone " multimedia & quot; recording at home. In the sense that& 39;s true. Home studios can be as simple as an inexpensive cassette deck and a microphone in the corner of your basement. Roland, Korg and Yamaha offer all-in-one combination of digital mixer / hard disk recorder / effects units, which are as close as possible to genuine " Studio in a Box & quot;, as you can get. You can not be fully satisfied with the results of any more than we were to celebrate the first attempt ..
Moving in the world, a few years later we recorded at the old masters workplace for a four-track studio. Sound was slightly better. The difference is that I had little hope. Writing was a demo to be played for Capitol records and R man. Quality should not be there, or so I thought. Unfortunately, I was wrong. It can not be the impression that he considered unprofessional activity. The session was more than thirty seconds; missed opportunity to someone who could do wonders in advancing my career.
There other experiences and good lessons. Do not expect too much from home record. If you want professional CD good enough to play broadcasting or for sale in shops, you may be better to make a professional recording studio. The only problem is that this time the studio is costly, if you have money on impulse, you& 39;re going to have to live with the final to record a long time. This is a tough decision to make; certainly food for thought.
On bad day, you do not see the stars. Clouds cover the sun. The air difficult to breathe. Everything seems to go wrong. Nothing feels right. You need all the help you can get. You have nothing to lose. You& 39;re ready to try anything. Hot new Britney Spears record will sell shelf in no time flat. You will not find it that easy. Music industry dumpsters filled to overflowing with music that was unable to sell. You& 39;ll take it that you can get, even if the registration contract he might give you a chance to get anywhere.
On good day, birds sing. Flowers bloom. All seems right. This is a joy to be alive. Nothing can hurt you. You& 39;re strong and bold and beautiful. You believe in yourself and know without a doubt that you can not lose. You will be able to do everything possible to go it alone.
Mass merchandising is a fools game. Sometimes it seems that only those who make any money retailers. Even they do very little, despite the high volume of cash and goods changing hands. There are no shortcuts. You need to sell your CD for one moment. If you& 39;re like me, you live in the real world with real problems and real opportunities; world which does not care. If you succeed or not is of no consequence to anyone but you. Today, the first day of rest in your life. Only you can decide which day you are going to have.
As your market is growing geographically, covering more and more territory, you will see more than several independent music and book stores will sell the CD. It will be easiest to get a bit of time. Who knows, maybe one day you will find a major label and do offer you can not refuse to write the music you play together.

Spectral Muses Revisited: The Channeled Melodies of Rosemary Brown

Rosemary Brown (1916-2001) was a middle-aged South London widow, making ends meet as a grade school kitchen assistant, who rocketed to international fame in 1968 through a BBC broadcast recounting her purported collaborations with long-dead composers. These included Liszt, J.S. Bach, Handel, Beethoven, Schubert (who of course no longer needs spectacles), Monteverdi, Rachmaninoff, Debussy, Brahms, Robert and Clara Schumann, Mozart, Grieg, and Poulenc. And after he died in 1971, Igor Stravinsky joined them.
Though Ms Brown s musical education had consisted of no more than two years of piano lessons and a couple of halfhearted trips to the opera, she went on to turn out over a thousand pieces worthy, in the estimations of a number of musicologists, of many of these legendary giants. Concert pianist Hepzibah Menuhin (Yehudi s sister), observed, "There is no question but that she is a very sincere woman. The music is absolutely in the style of these composers." Sir Richard Rodney Bennett, who studied under Sir Lennox Berkeley and Pierre Boulez and scored the film Murder on the Orient Express, said, "A lot of people can improvise, but you couldn t fake music like this without years of training."
In 1969 the BBC arranged to observe Ms Brown in the act firsthand. They sat her down on a piano bench and waited for Franz Liszt. In due course he appeared, to her anyway, and dictated a piece he called Grubelei that, like much of this material, was far beyond her technical competence to perform. Composer and Lizst specialist Humphrey Searle scrutinized Grubelei and found it to be remarkably characteristic of Lizst s last few years. "It is highly chromatic," he later recalled, "and one hand is written in 5/4 time against 3/2 in the other. The latter is not a thing that Liszt ever did as far as I know, but it is the sort of thing he might have done."
I m no expert here but from what I ve heard of Rosemary Brown s music it certainly sounds convincing. At the very least we have a stupendous volume of splendid musical parodies in front of us, and it remains to be explained how someone of such prosaic means could have produced them non-supernaturally. I am rather surprised that Ms Brown reported no contact with Sir Edward Elgar, her country s most cherished composer, whose unparalleled orchestrations would have been supremely difficult to mimic. Or, similarly, Ralph Vaughn Williams or Sir Charles H.H. Parry or Fritz Delius (who once groused, "Grieg had more music in his little finger than Stravinsky has in his whole body."). In any case, you the living can contact Romana-Hamburg (www.romana-hamburg.de/RosemaryBrownE.htm) and judge for yourself. They offer the documentary Music from Beyond on DVD and a corresponding CD compilation of 40 of Brown s piano pieces, 38 of them performed by Gerhard Helzel.

The King of Queens (Season 2) DVD Review

A spin-off of the popular TV series Everybody Loves Raymond, King of Queens first hit the airwaves in the Fall of 1998. The show follows the life of Doug Heffernan (played by comedian Kevin James), a package delivery man for IPS (far different from UPS for you litigious-minded readers out there), and the show utilizes much of the same marital and relationship humor found in Ray Romano s blockbuster sitcom. With seven successful seasons under its belt, and even more yet to come, King of Queens is a hilarious comedy series well worth one s time and attention

King of Queens revolves around the life of Doug Heffernan, a hard-working, sports-loving parcel delivery man living in Queens, New York. In his thirties, and married to a lovely woman named Carrie (Leah Remini - who played Carla s daughter on the hit show Cheers), Doug spends most of his non-working hours basking in the glow of his state-of-the-art 70-inch TV with two buddies who share his fanatical love of sports, Spence (Patton Oswalt) and Deacon (Victor Williams). But Doug s personal paradise suffers a devastating blow when Carrie s widowed father Arthur (Jerry Stiller of Seinfeld fame) moves in with the couple. Doug s TV fantasy room is converted into an in-law suite, and after several failed relocation attempts, the TV is pushed into the garage Now Doug and Carrie must learn to share their palace with an eccentric, and oftentimes annoying, father/father-in-law with a penchant for messing up the couple s well-grounded routine

The King of Queens (Season 2) DVD features a number of hilarious episodes including the season premiere "Queasy Rider" in which Doug buys a motorcycle, clearly violating Carrie s stated wishes. As part of a plan to get Doug to sell the motorcycle, Carrie takes up smoking, telling Doug that she ll give up cigarettes when he gives up the bike. But when Doug sells the bike, Carrie s guilt causes her to buy it back, resulting in some unintended consequences Other notable episodes from Season 2 include "Parent Trapped" in which Deacon and his wife Kelly ask Doug and Carrie to be the godparents of their newborn (they decline, but then regret doing so), and "Net Prophets" in which Doug and Carrie invest their Christmas bonus in the stock of an online company they know little about

The Entity Case Revisited

During 1974, several researchers working out of UCLA began to investigate one of the most famous and frightening Parapsychology cases ever documented. Often referred to as a violent or extreme haunting, The Entity investigation became famous after the 1981 release of a major film based on that case. Doctors Gaynor and Taff investigated the haunting under the auspices of Thelma Moss, a UCLA Parapsychologist. While the film highlighted the fact that the female victim of the alleged haunting was repeatedly and violently raped, it may have downplayed other events that might have provided an alternative explanation.
The film relied largely on audience imagination to fill in the blanks as the victim was sexually assaulted and highlighted the fact that most people who heard her story tended to initially discount the tale of spirit rape. However, family members, friends and those who bothered to investigate the matter more fully often witnessed the attacks themselves. Some, like her son, were hit, beaten or suffered some degree of bodily harm. The movie seemed to focus on one entity, but the case was far more complicated then that.
In real life, the victim described three entities. Two held her down and the third raped her. Black and blue marks all over her body were clear indications that she had been physically attacked and harmed. This is incredibly significant because it is almost unique in the history of the unexplained. Although there have been instances of everything from bite marks to words carved into flesh on the victims of other supernatural attacks, most of these incidents remain largely suspect when it comes to supernatural causes. The Entity case had more then its fair share of credible witnesses to the rapes and beatings.
Beyond the terrible sexual abuse itself, one event really brought home the uniqueness of this case. During one of their visits to the home of the victim, Gaynor, Taff and others actually saw the figure of a man appear out of thin air. Gaynor gave the following statement to OMNI Magazine in the 1990s: "We saw the head take shape and then the shoulders. The light extended down to the ground until it became a full humanoid figure of greenish-white light. Then it just vanished, almost as if somebody pulled the plug. It didn t fade away. It just vanished. Everybody was completely in awe and silent as we watched this happen."
The appearance of the full-figured apparition always bothered me. It just wasn t something that had ever been successfully documented during a haunting before. That, along with the sexual attacks, just didn t fit into the normal ghost scenario. This wasn t an ethereal figure reenacting an event from their life or some misty spirit. It was a violent and powerful man who had full control over his victim. When asked why she thought it was a ghost that was raping her, the victim told researchers that the man just vanished after the attacks. Based on her descriptions of the perpetrator, he must have been very visible to the victim during the attacks.
Hindsight is 20/20 and I am not going to be the one to second-guess the work of Gaynor and Taff. Even with a good working knowledge of all areas of the unexplained, it would have been hard to consider The Entity case anything more than a very unusual haunting. I ll be the first to admit that what happened in the 1970s would have probably leaded me to the same conclusion if I had been investigating the case at that time. It wasn t until years later that additional events came to my attention, which may provide another possible explanation for The Entity attacks.
My first opportunity to speak with several people alleged to have been involved with U.S. Government time travel, mind control and invisibility experiments came in 1988. That first meeting lead to a more in-depth examination of those people in 1989. The 1989 session was videotaped, lasted a full day and included technical experts and specially invited parties from various backgrounds. That session provided enough information for me to establish an on-going investigation of The Philadelphia Experiment, Montauk Project and related events. Those continuing investigations lead to an incident that occurred in 2004.
On February 12, 2004, a woman that I ll refer to as Virginia was joined by her husband and two friends to clean out a small room that existed on the second floor of their newly purchased retirement home in Maryland. The eighty-five year old house needed an interior facelift. With Contractor work set to begin shortly, the four had the task of removing items from a smaller room that was going to become part of a larger open area when everything was completed.
As the small group of people prepared the items for removal, they suddenly felt sick to their stomachs. A green mist appeared in the room accompanied by the form of a man and the odor of over-heated circuitry. He looked like a sailor wearing a long out of date naval uniform. Before anyone could react, the sailor looked at the group and said, 2005. Watch out for 2005! They re playing with your future! After that, the Sailor faded into the wall and the green mist quickly dissipated. All agreed later that they had heard his voice and everyone heard the same thing. They described the Sailor s voice as deep and full, but sounding a bit muffled.
I believe the warning about 2005 may have referred to the unusually destructive hurricane season that may have been caused by government weather control experiments. While seeking additional funding for weather research and control, a military spokesperson told a congressional committee The Air Force will own the weather in five years. The weather experiments have a direct connection to some of the technologies discovered and used during various incarnations of The Philadelphia Experiment.
The appearance of the sailor within a green mist is eerily similar to the appearance of the full-figured apparition during The Entity investigation. Another connection is the alleged mental state of many of the sailors who took part in the original Philadelphia Experiment. A number of people who claim to have been involved with the 1940s Navy Project say that attempts to make Navy Vessels invisible lead to severe side effects among the survivors, including mental illness and insanity. And there s more.
Some of the Sailors who survived the original Philadelphia Experiment had a bad habit of fading in and out of their physical environment. Two sailors floated out of the wall of a bar near the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard (according to an article in a local newspaper shortly after the incident). That event was witnessed by shipyard workers, naval personnel and others. A few weeks later, two sailors at the same bar got into a fight. The fight spilled out into the street. Once outside in the light, witnesses described the men involved in the scuffle as being transparent or translucent instead of solid figures made of flesh and bone. They were said to have been a part of the specifically chosen crew placed aboard the as yet to be commissioned battleship escort later know as the USS Eldridge for a sea trial of the P.E. technology.
All this leads us to the inescapable fact that the most famous haunting case of all time might not have involved ghosts at all. It s entirely possible that Survivors of some known or unknown test of Philadelphia Experiment technology could have been the culprits behind The Entity sexual assaults. They may have been victims themselves. Who can say what people who have been exposed to a bizarre technology that leaves them insane, mentally unbalanced and in some horrible ethereal limbo might do?
Anyone investigating the Philadelphia Experiment, Montauk Project and related events knows that you re always at a disadvantage. That s because time is linear and there is no specific database to draw from when it comes to understanding or investigating time travel. If I enter a time machine, travel to three different times in one day and do all sorts of crazy things, no connection to those individual events may actually be made until enough time has passed. As I already pointed out, it took the 1988 and 2004 incidents for me to make any possible connection between The Entity case and The Philadelphia Experiment. It was only after researching those events that I found a way to better understand what might have happened in 1974 during the alleged haunting.
Sadly, the victim of the 1970s Entity attacks has long since disappeared. With a possible connection to the most secret of all government projects, one now wonders whether that disappearance was actually voluntary. Either way, it s unlikely she ll be seen again and that means no additional investigative work can be performed on that case in a meaningful way. However, based on my research into the *Philadelphia Experiment, Montauk Project and related events, I am certain that we haven t seen the last of people appearing in green mists and saying or doing incredible, amazing and possibly criminal things.
